ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND - Sound Symposium has launched its new website this month to provide better communication with the arts community, sponsors, media and anyone in interested in the leading edge of new music, sound art and the performing arts. SOUNDSYMPOSIUM.COM  will represent Sound Symposium, our  World Sound Festival, Night Music Series and Sound Symposium Presents...  an ongoing series of special performances sponsored by Sound Symposium.

Our new cyber real estate will allow us to present Sound Symposium and our events online and around the world. Starting from scratch we will build the site leading up to Sound Symposium XV July 3-10, 2010 with arts news and information, Sound Symposium events and an amazing digital archive of 25 years of Sound Symposium.

Sound Symposium technicians are hard at work on a two year project to digitize our photo, audio, video and document collection from 25 years of Sound Symposium and its gathering of international musicians, performing artists, sound sculptors and sound artists in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada every two years for a ten day festival of performances, workshops, collaboration and audio exploration.

One of the most exciting aspects of SOUNDSYMPOSIUM.COM is the ability to present  Sound Symposium performances and events live, online as streaming audio and video. For 25 years Sound Symposium has brought the world to St. John's, now we can take Sound Symposium and St. John's to the world.
