Night Music is an improvisational music series held on the third Thursday of every month at The Ship Pub. It begins with an hour-long performance that serves as the anchor for the evening, after which the stage is opened up to anyone with an interest in improvising. Host Craig Squires puts together inspired groups of musicians who jam until their sonic exploration reaches a natural conclusion. Bring your instrument and join in on the fun!

The Ames Window are a 5-piece instrumental psychedelic post-rock band from St. John’s NL. Songs are born out of coincidental improvisational juxtapositions and include elements of rock, funk, folk, and jazz. Each performance blends compositions with free flowing improvisations, making each show unique, but familiar. The Ames Window have released two full length albums. A debut self-titled album was released in 2024, and the follow-up, ‘Six Hats’ was released in 2026.

The Ames Window features Neill Banks on Bass, Liam Foley on drums, Heath Matheson on electric guitar, Mark Scott on resonator guitar, and Ben Zendel on electric guitar.
